And not a minute too late. We’ve been hearing for weeks that RIM planned to launch BlackBerry App World on the eve of CTIA, and when I woke up this morning (5 a.m. Vegas time, baby) the announcement was right in my Inbox. You can download BlackBerry App World right now, straight to your device. After the jump, a neat-o graphic, plus the download requirements and instructions.

The first thing you’ll need to do is set up a PayPal account. This is the exclusive checkout method of BlackBerry App World. If you have one, move on. If not, head to PayPal.com to get started.
From there you can head to the download site from your computer. Here you can click the download tab and enter in your email address. RIM will send you a link, and you’re on your way. If you want to get it right from your device, head to blackberry.com/appworld/download from your BlackBerry. App World requires OS 4.2 and above.

this App World is so cool, I got a few apps already. some are actually free like one of my favorite called “iheartradio” you can listen to so many stations – i’m in love with it
The Level app doesn’t want to install on my Storm from App World, but i googled the developer and found their main site, it installed fine from there. Looks to be a different version also.
Works on my 8110 but the “Games” category is buggy; it says 248 games available but actually only has one game – “South Park 10″.
I Love it, I already had a couple of the apps like myspace, and facebook, but iheart was definitely a catch!!
