JuiceCaster and Quickbooks launch on BlackBerry

Posted by Joe on August 27, 2008

A couple of software notes for this morning. First up is JuiceCaster, a social media app. Owners of the BlackBerry Curves 8130 from AT&T and 8330 from Verizon are eligible to download the software. Sorry, T-Mo and Sprint customers. It looks like exclusivity deals are seeping into software now.

For those unfamiliar, JuiceCaster lets you upload video and pictures to your Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Photobucket, Hi5, Blogger, Orkut, and other social media and blogging sites. Users can also messages their friends using the service.Yes, it’s free.

Next is Quickbooks, which has been announced for the BlackBerry and the iPhone. I’m pretty sure everyone knows what Quickbooks is, no? Just in case.

The application has an optimized interface for the mobile screen and customers can access it through a smartphone’s mobile browser. With the application, mobile users can check current bank and credit card balances, track who owes them money and who they owe, find vendor and contact information with addresses via Google Maps, and run balance sheets.

This one will run $9.95 per month after a free 30-day trial. You can find it at their website.
