How fast is your BlackBerry?

Posted by Joe on November 14, 2008

Ronen at BerryReview points us to a neat little application for your BlackBerry: BerrySpeedy. It is an application from DeltaTech which measures the connection speed of your BlackBerry. So now you can know if yours runs faster than your buddies in the next town over. Using BIS-B at 500K, Ronen hit 8 KB/S with a BlackBerry Bold in New York City. Thomas at Berry Reporter got 13 KB/S with his T-Mobile Curve and 20 KB/S with his Bold. No idea where he got those speeds, though. Find out mind after the jump.

This is after I got 9 KB/S last night. I’m on freaking Verizon in New York City. You’d think it would go a bit faster than this. It seems a bit faster today, though today’s test I ran in my office, while yesterday was outside. Weird.

So how fast does your Berry run? Download BerrySpeedy at ota.deltatech.com.mx from your BlackBerry browser to get it.
