How many contacts do you have on your BlackBerry? Two of my friends, both working at an independent Verizon retailer, who have a contest to see who transfers more BlackBerry contacts. Honestly, they make my 100+ contacts look paltry. The current leader transferred 1,500 in one shot. Whoa. So I assume plenty of readers out there have hundreds, even thousands of contacts. How do you manage that? If I did, I’d check out acceloDex, a contact management application which makes it easier to scroll through your massive address book.

There’s an accelerated swipe scrolling feature which uses inertia to help you scroll faster or slower through contacts. If you’re scrolling through all contacts, and not by letter, a vibration will let you know that you’ve gone to the next letter (A to B, D to E, H to I, etc.). It will also display pictures next to contacts in your list. That might sound like it would slow down your scrolling, but with all of the other features it should still work just fine.
