Better late than never, right? I remember when playing Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball back in the day, you had to create an avatar to go along with your profile. You could customize your digital dude or dudette in many different ways, and it lent a personal feel to the league. Of course, that was in the 2005-2006 range, so RIM isn’t doing anything particularly groundbreaking by adding an avatar builder for BBM. But since it hasn’t been available before, it’s still novel for BlackBerry users. These are free, of course, and they’re available for both guys and gals. Get the girls here. There is apparently an issue in Canada whereby you cannot get the avatar builder. But, via BlackBerry Cool there is a workaround. Point your BlackBerry browser to for the guys or for the girls.
