Of course, there’s something to be said about just giving your friends your PIN. Presumably, you know some one if they’re on your Facebook, and you could just, you know, ask “Hey, what’s your PIN?” This is like a mass message of that type. It also helps because sometimes with business contacts, you can’t be sure if they’re using a BlackBerry or another PDA.
If anything, this speaks to the viability of social networks. Now you have a way to not only let all of your friends know you have a BlackBerry, but how to communicate with you with it…even if they don’t have your phone number.
You can nab the application at pinexchange.com.
This also kind of speaks to privacy. You’ll be permitted to set your privacy settings on the PIN exchange application, and of course you don’t have to install it at all. But how comfortable are you giving out your PIN?
