There’s little I hate more than exclusivity agreements. Whether it’s device-related as in AT&T with the Bold or Verizon with the Storm, or software-based, like NFL Mobile on Sprint. AT&T had one of those deals with the New York Times Crosswords, but we hear from BlackBerry Cool that it’s now available to all. This is wonderful news for the nerdier among us, who would rather solve a word puzzle than shatter some bricks when we have nothing to do.

The crosswords are subscription-based. This is a bummer for some, who would rather just pay a lump sum and then have all the fun in the world with it. The subscription, though, means you’ll get more updates, so you can do the crosswords all day long and still have new ones.
The service is $2.99 per month, which is more than reasonable. You can get it from Bplay.
