So what if your BB is secure such that it won't let you download apps directly to it. Is there any way to pull apps to my desktop and push it tot eh BB from there?

Actually, you can browse the whole catalog online using the link he provided using your desktop PC. Then you put your email address in and it sends the OTA link just like he said. Also, it is working for me in firefox, so I'm not sure why he said it only allows IE.

This doesn't seem to be a desktop App World, rather, it is an option to allow you to download the App World software to your desktop and then load it onto your BB. Either way, I just tried to do it and it failed to work. I have Windows XP with all updates and IE 8.0.6001.18702. It gave me a "wrong browser" error.
