Are you jealous of T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl users, who get to choose from a number of colors? Sick of your gray or black BlackBerry? Colorware, a company that, well, colors your electronic devices, will offer the service for BlackBerry smartphones starting on December 31. This adds to their arsenal, which includes the iPhone and the Sidekick, in addition to other devices like iPods, laptops, and more.
The service is limited to the Curve, the 8800, and the Pearl, which cover the majority of BBs currently in use. Colorware provides a vast range of colors for your phone, which you can view here.
The paint job also provides some protection. The X2 Coating technology blocks UV rays, so your phone won’t fade if you leave it out on the deck while you sunbathe. It’s also scratch-resistant, so leaving it in your pocket won’t do loads and loads of damage.
No word on pricing, though the iPhone costs $150.
