We’ve got some solid information on the BlackBerry Niagra, a/k/a the 9630. It’ll be a Verizon World Edition, which will please many in the CDMA BlackBerry community. Recent pictures suggest it’s more like the Curve in design than the Bold. Sounds like a solid edition to the Verizon, and possibly Sprint, lineup.

Other than the Niagra, we’ve got plenty of news about the BlackBerry Application Storefront, a/k/a BlackBerry App World. The name isn’t the only news, though. It looks like if you want a throw-away app like a fart noise, you’ll either pay $3 or you’ll pay nothing. RIM doesn’t have plans to offer 99 cent or $1.99 apps, which is a shame. Perhaps this will keep the throw-away apps away, or at least free.
There’s a new BlackBerry store, this one in the Atlanta airport. It’s a major travel hub, so perhaps it’s in a prime location to succeed. Cooper and Rae took a trip to the one in Michigan and were impressed. Here’s to hoping for a repeat.
And finally, the Bolt Browser gets over 150,000 downloads in the first two weeks of public beta. Good job by those guys. I absolutely love the browser.
