What good is a brand new BlackBerry without all the coolest accessories? If you search around, though, most of what you find will be cradles, car chargers, cases, and headsets. While they’re all useful, they’re not exactly fun.

We’ve taken the trouble to scour the Internet for the 11 coolest BlackBerry accessories out there. We think you’ll be a bit more satisfied with this list than another list of 20 different headsets.

1. CB House T8 BlueTooth Headset
You own a Bluetooth, right? With all the legislation against driving and talking on cell phones, they’ve become almost mandatory. But there are always complaints about signal quality and, more recently, the privacy of one’s conversation. If Bluetooth could solve those few problems, they’d have one heck of a product, right?

Enter the T8. Not only will you get a wireless, handless phone system, you’ll get a clear call, even in the loudest environments. And, for peace of mind, it provides a private and secure call.

The T8 uses 128-bit encryption to ensure the call’s privacy, so you won’t have any worries about eavesdroppers. Blue Ant technology ensures that you hear the person on the other end like he or she was standing right next to you. Basically, it’s everything a wireless headset should be.

2. Screen Protectors
No matter what they’re being used for, BlackBerries are subject to heavy use. That not only means tapping out message at all hours of the night, but it also means being lugged along wherever its user goes. And, in transport come dings, dents, and scratches. While the dings and dents are merely cosmetic issues, those screen scratches can make your BleckBerry tough to read.

Thankfully, there are folks that feel your pain. They’ve developed a guard for nearly every model of BlackBerry that will prevent it from being scratched up. And, unlike many screen covers, the ones available in the BBGeeks Store will allow you to read your screen with easy – they have built-in glare reducer.

3. BlackBerry 8800 Battery Extender
How many times have you been using your BlackBerry, watching that battery gauge and wondering how much longer it will last? Do you have enough time to get through the 10 messages in your inbox? Or are you going to have to find a place to plug in your charger before you get back up and running?

There is help on the way, though. With the BlackBerry Battery Extender, you can fully charge your device, even if there isn’t an electrical outlet available. All it takes is four AA batteries, and that covers two full charges. It’s also a nice backup for those situations where you forget your charger at home. If there was ever a must-have accessory for the BlackBerry, it’s the Battery Extender.

4. SanDisk 8 GB microSD Card
With the new multimedia player built into the BlackBerry 8800, you’re going to want more than the 64 megabytes of flash memory that comes standard with the device. You’re going to need it if you want to download your favorite songs and watch sports and news clips.

Previously only available in up to 4 gigabytes, SanDisk has come out with a 8 GB microSD card, so you can store twice as many songs, twice as many videos, and twice as much information. The best part is that the card is removable, so you can have multiple cards to store even more information.

It’s a fraction of the size of a portable hard drive, saving you space while traveling. It also doesn’t have moving parts, so you can carry it around without worrying about damaging it.

5. Range Booster
Does your cell phone get reception in your house? In your office? No matter how high-tech a phone is, sometimes the cell signal just won’t reach well indoors. This can be highly frustrating, especially if you live in one of the increasing number of homes that doesn’t use a landline anymore.

Signal boosters like the zBoost Cell Phone Signal Booster can give you an amplified range of up to 2,500 feet, and will reduce the number of dropped calls while you’re in range. Also, because you’re receiving such a strong signal, it improves your battery life, so you can talk even longer without plugging in.

All you have to do is hook it up somewhere on the side of your house, and you’re set. It’s really that simple. After that, you’ll be hearing calls clearer than you ever imagined on a cell phone. And, when the signal of a call starts to break up, it will be easy to blame it on the other person!

6. Jabra SP5050 Bluetooth Car Kit
Car phone systems have been around since the advent of the cell phone, but most systems have always been lacking in some way or another. One of the biggest running flaws, actually, has been that you always have to do something with the phone in order for it to pick up a call.

The Jabra SP5050 is truly hands free. Just say the word, and your phone will dial a number (thanks to BlackBerry’s newly implemented voice dialing system), pick up a call, or adjust the volume. But that’s just the start of how the Jabra SP5050 makes life easier for you.

It works with all Bluetooth phones, so you’ll have it ready in no time. BlackBerry users on the go simply can’t miss out on the Jabra SP5050.

7. BlackBerry Full Size AquaPac Case
If you like to spend a lot of time at the beach in the summer (and really, who doesn’t), the AquaPac Case is a perfect protective measure for your BlackBerry. They’re always prone to being filled with Sand and other debris found on the beach. Or, worse yet, it can even find its way into the ocean, officially rendering it useless.

The AquaPac Case is revolutionary in this regard. As the name implies, it’s completely waterproof, meaning it will survive even if you hold it underwater – or if something spills on it. It’s also completely airtight, which will keep out the sand, shells, and anything else that can get caught in your BlackBerry keyboard.

The bad news: there’s no more excuse to not do work at the beach. Bummer.

8. BlackBerry Bluetooth Keyboard
Typing out messages on the BlackBerry is quite the workout for the thumbs. In fact, prolonged use of the built-in keyboard can lead to tendon damage, and even arthritis. Unfortunately, there aren’t many alternatives if you’re on the go.

When you have a minute to sit down, the BlackBerry Bluetooh Keyboard can give your thumbs a much-needed break. It is set up exactly like a normal QWERTY keyboard, so there are no adjustments to make. Just plug in your PDA, and you’re off!

The keyboard is also very small – smaller than a piece of paper when it is unfolded. Yes, it folds up, roughly to the size of an index card. So you can carry it around with ease.

9. BoomTube BlackBerry Speaker System
Use your BlackBerry as an MP3 player? If so, you’re making excellent use of the new 8800’s multimedia player. Sometimes, though, you don’t want to stick in those ear buds – you want your music blaring.

The BoomTube BlackBerry Speaker System delivers just that. You’ll get loud, crisp, and clear sound when you plug in your BlackBerry or other audio device (it works great with an iPod). It plugs into the wall when you’re near an outlet, and the battery power can last for up to five hours – plenty of time to get through all the music you can handle.

The size should have you excited, too: it can fit easily in any kind of bag, personal or travel. Such enormous sound has never been heard from such a tiny device.

10. Impatica Showmate for BlackBerry
Imagine this: you’re putting the finishing touches on your big presentation for tomorrow – and your laptop crashes. Panic strikes for a second, but then you realize that you have your trusty BlackBerry as a backup. It seems like it has saved the day, until you realize that you have no means to play the presentation. So you return to cursing your laptop.

Impatica sympathizes with your situation. In fact, they’ve created Showmate just in case anything like that happens. It connects to any VGA projector, so all you need is your BlackBerry, and you’re set.

It connects through Bluetooth, so it’s a completely wireless presentation. This allows for more interaction with the audience, as you can move around the room with ease. Plus, it allows you to do everything without your laptop, saving more room for other things in your travel bag (like the BoomTube).

11. PaperIQ Digital Pen
It’s a dilemma facing any note taker: it’s so much easier to write everything with a pen on paper, but you have to e-mail the notes to a few people afterwards. You could bring in your laptop, but let’s face it: you’re better at printing than you are at typing.

There have previously been two solutions to this: either scan the document in and force everyone to read your chicken scratch, or type out your written notes after the meeting. Neither is very attractive, but they are the only solutions…until now, that is.

The PaperIQ Digital Pen allows you to take notes on a paper tablet, just like you’re used to. The electronic pen will then digitize your writings and create a document, so you’re just a few edits away from sending out a clear, clean, electronic document.

Not only will it save you time and hassle, but you’ll impress everyone with how quickly you get those meeting notes out.
