We must be getting close to the release of the 9000 series, since we’re seeing updates galore from the Boys Genius. Today, it’s screenshots which suggest that a number of carriers are planning for the 9000. But not only that, but some make mention of a 9100 model. Honestly, I have no idea what anything on these screenshots mean. In fact, since they’re in Notepad, it stands to reason that they could be less than genuine. Still, for those of you looking to quench your 9000-rumor hunger, this should tide you over until next week.

[...] for the 9000 series. First is a front-facing camera for video conferencing. The other is that a 9100 model will shortly follow the 9000. Once again, these are just rumors to keep your hunger satisfied. [...]
To further explain the file and the reason it’s open in notepad is because it’s a “loader” file from the BlackBerry OS…that file in particular tells the BlackBerry Desktop Manager what files and applications to load to the BlackBerry device…one of the only ways to view the contents of this file on a PC is too open it in notepad…now…this files for the mast part is similar between ALL devices…so for example the 8300 and 8320/8310 will have a similar BlackBerry.alx file…which from the above gathered information is proof theirs more then one 9XXX device all ready in the works, or at the very least a similar device with different functionality based on carrier…
Hope I made sense here…and ope it helps you all understand as to why it’s relevant for it to be open in notepad…it’s a legitimate thing at this point…no “false” information here.
Geez, I should really learn how to use spellcheck lmao!!
