Ok so the holidays are coming up and we here at BBGeeks.com would like to spread a little cheer to our loyal readers and Twitter associates.
It is no secret that in these tough economic times there is not much extra in the ol’ pocketbook to be spent on the latest BlackBerry application you’ve have had your eye on. How Do You Enter This Awesome Contest?
There are two avenues of entry for this contest and both are easy as pie!
- The first option is to leave a comment on this post with a short mention of how BBGeeks has helped you since you started visiting the site. This could be something like “I got my Curve 8330 a few months ago and I was completely lost when it came to adding ringtones to my BlackBerry. BBGeeks not only showed showed me how to add new ringtones but also how to create my own!”
- The second option for entry is by leaving a similar comment on Twitter explaining very briefly how BBGeeks has helped you with your BlackBerry issues.
To do this simply send a tweet which begins with @bbgeeks and contains your kind words.
The Contest Rules
We have noticed in past contests that many of you don’t like to follow the rules for entry. Therefore we have made the rules for this contest ULTRA SIMPLE.
- You can enter using both methods (either commenting on this post or via Twitter) however, all entries are only eligible to win one of the $100 gift certificates. Duplicate entries will be discarded and once a winner from one section is chosen their name will be withdrawn from the second prize selection.
- Your comments MUST MEET THE ABOVE STATED CRITERIA. Comments like “Please enter me in the contest” will be disregarded.
- The contest begins now and all entries received before 12:00pm EST on December 19th, 2008 will be eligible to win either of the two gift certificates.
- If submitting a comment on this post, be sure to use your real email address

BUT WAIT! What If I Don’t Have a Twitter account? How Do I Get One?
If you do not currently have a Twitter account you are going to reduce your chances of winning one of the prizes by 50%. So how do you even up those odds again? The answer is to spend 5 minutes and set up a Twitter account so you can enter there as well.
Here are the steps required to sign up for a Twitter account and cast your entry to be eligible for the $100 gift certificate.
- Head over to Twitter.com and click on the Join link in the top right corner. Fill in your profile details (you can flesh it out later if you like) and complete the account creation.
- Next head over to the BBGeeks profile and follow us by visiting http://www.twitter.com/bbgeeks and clicking on the large button the reads “Follow”
- Click on the Home button near the top right of your screen and then make an update which begins with @bbgeeks followed by some kind words on how we have helped you get to know your BlackBerry.
- Once you have completed your message (140 characters max) click on the large button that says “Update”.
- Voila you have submitted your entry!
