A short while ago we here at BBGeeks announced our Holiday Cheer Contest in which we asked our loyal readers and Twitter associates to drop some kind words about BBGeeks.com.

Our goal was to spread a little cheer to our fellow BBGeeks in the form of Gift Certificates for our online BlackBerry store, while at the same time trying to gauge how effectively we have been helping the community.

Judging by the amazing response to the contest we can safely say two things.

1. BlackBerry accessories, BlackBerry software and BlackBerry games are definitely on peoples wish list this year.
2. BBGeeks is having an impact and really helping out both beginner and advanced BlackBerry users.

Some Kind Words of Our Own

Before we announce the winners of the BBGeeks Holiday Cheer contest we would like to take a moment to say thank you to all of the people who posted their entries on the blog and those who submitted their entries in the form of Twitter replies.

In total we received 84 eligible submissions through replies to our Twitter feed and 59 eligible submissions via the actual contest blog post.

We really appreciate the fact that you count on us as one of your primary resources for BlackBerry information and all of your kind words have helped reinforce our objectives here at BBGeeks.com. We maintain the website but we would not be anything if it wasn’t for you loyal readers who make up our audience. For your participation on a daily basis and your clearly defined passion we salute you all.

Additionally I would like to thank the large number of people who ReTweeted our calls for entry and ultimately helped to make this contest the most successful effort to date on BBGeeks.com. Due in part to your efforts we were so impressed with the response that we added a third $100 prize into the pool.

Final Words

There you go – lots of kind words and a few Gift Certificates later and the contest has run it’s course. Again we would like to say thank you kindly to all those who participated and we look forward to holding a new series of contests in the new year.

Please do remember that even if you did not win the contest you can still grab a Gift Certificate from our BlackBerry store for any loved one you have with a BlackBerry addiction. They really do make for great stocking-stuffers and are available in a number of denominations.
